Bryan Renfro's long-running movie podcast brings more than 660 episodes of interviews, convention adventures, horror, humor, and film-geek camaraderie to the independent network
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - s4story -- Movie Meltdown, the Louisville-based film podcast created and hosted by Bryan Renfro, has joined Weirding Way Media, the independent podcast network founded by Mike White and Chris Stachiw.
Launched in 2008, Movie Meltdown is one of the longest-running independent film podcasts still in production. Across 660+ episodes, Renfro and rotating contributors mix movie talk with interviews, convention coverage, soundtrack shows, horror discussions, holiday specials, and pop culture's stranger corners.
Guests have included Brad Dourif, Margaret Cho, Doug Jones, Danielle Harris, Sean Gunn, Sid Haig, Mick Garris, Nicholas Meyer, Bert Kreischer, Lisa Loeb, and more.

Recurring programs include Sofa Theater, Attack of the Killer Soundtrack, WonderFest and Lexington Comic & Toy Convention reports, and the Patreon-backed Meltdown Horror Club. The show has five Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award nominations for Best Podcast.
"Bryan has created something that can't be manufactured: a genuine community with nearly two decades of shared history," said White. "Movie Meltdown treats film culture as something people live—not just review. It's a natural fit."
"I've known Mike and Chris for years, and Weirding Way Media already feels like the neighborhood where Movie Meltdown belongs," said Renfro. "It's filled with people who will spend two hours on an overlooked movie, an obscure TV episode, a soundtrack, or something strange they found at a convention—and nobody apologizes for caring too much."
Movie Meltdown joins a growing lineup that includes The Projection Booth, The Kulturecast, 80s TV Ladies, and more original, seasonal, and limited-series shows.

"Movie Meltdown represents exactly what we wanted Weirding Way Media to support," said Stachiw. "It is independent, personal, unpredictable, and built by someone with a distinct voice. Bryan has assembled an extraordinary archive, and we're proud to help introduce it to more listeners."
The show keeps its title, format, host, and identity while gaining Weirding Way Media's promotion, cross-network collaborations, and distribution reach. Its archive remains on its current feed. New episodes, more Meltdown Horror Club installments, and cross-network appearances are planned.
