New Online Board Game Sin of Angels Lets Outlaw Gangs Battle for LA Solo or With Friends
S For Story/10702057
Sin of Angels: Hell City runs in a browser with no download: solo play against AI, online multiplayer across devices, local pass and play on one screen, and a party mode that puts the 3D board on a TV while each player acts privately from a phone.
ELGIN, Ill. - s4story -- Getting a full table together for board game night can be hard to pull off on a normal week. Sin of Angels: Hell City is built as an online board game from the ground up, so a group can play board games online with friends wherever each person happens to be, on whatever device is already in front of them, with nothing to install.
The game offers three ways to play. A single player can take on up to five AI controlled clubs without recruiting anyone else. Online multiplayer lets a group play a board game with friends from separate homes, each signed in from a laptop, tablet, or phone. Party mode renders the game's 3D board on a television while each player acts privately from their own phone similar to how JackBox Games is played. 3 Players who are in party mode can still play competitively against two playing multiplayer connecting from their own PCs. Crossplay is available.

Rounds run on a resource called Orders, spent to recruit members and recruits, move onto sites across the city, and work those sites for cash, guns, and narcotics, while clubs trade on the Silk Road and manage the felonies their operations attract. Six rounds decide a winner by total cash on hand, not by whichever club is holding the most ground when time runs out. Anyone searching for games like the Sons of Anarchy board game will recognize the setup: this is an outlaw gang board game built as a digital board game reachable in a browser on any device.
"We wanted a board game night that does not care where anyone lives," said Zach Forbes, co-founder of CRIME Digital with Greg Nagel. "Most groups lose players to distance and schedules long before they lose them to boredom with the game itself."
Sin of Angels: Hell City is in closed beta now, and the beta is free to join. Testers request a seat through a single form at https://soa-game.com and sign in with a Google account;
Sin of Angels is an independent game and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with FX, 20th Television, The Walt Disney Company, or the publishers of Sons of Anarchy or Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
